A lot of Catholics fear getting into a theological debate with Protestants because Protestants allegedly “know their Bibles so much better.” The truth is, the Bible is a Catholic book! There are, in fact, many verses that directly state Catholic teachings – and some that contradict Protestantism’s most important teachings.

Here I look at James 2:24 and some other verses that show the massive problem Protestants have with their dogma of Sola Fide (justification by faith alone apart from works). Not only does this verse contradict Protestantism’s foundational teaching – but their attempts to resolve the contradiction actually create even bigger problems.
